A North Carolina football star named Solomon Wynn passed away because vaping caused him to develop a cardiac problem.

After her 15-year-old stepson passed away from a cardiac ailment brought on by the devices, a mother from North Carolina is raising awareness of the risks associated with vaping.

Solomon Wynn, a healthy adolescent who ‘liked’ football and the gym, reportedly declined quickly after getting a cough a few months ago, according to Charlene Zorn, her stepmother. The athlete’s cough made it impossible for him to go more than a few steps without stopping to collect his breath.

She told Fox News that after his initial bronchitis diagnosis, physicians prescribed antibiotics, steroids, and inhalers, but they had no effect. Additional examinations, such as X-rays of Solomon’s lungs, confirmed the harm that vaping had caused.

According to Zorn, “(the doctor) knew from her experience that Solomon had been vaping by looking at the test X-rays.”

When his teammates attended his burial, Zorn claimed she pushed them to quit vaping. The football-obsessed adolescent collapsed on June 16 and passed away the next day.

The tragedy occurs as authorities are under increasing pressure to regulate the devices after a number of children have died as a result of its marketing to children in recent years.
Only months after Solomon was originally brought to the doctor with a persistent cough, Zorn said that her family had to make the sad choice to remove Solomon from a ventilator in the middle of June.

She stated, “They diagnosed him with what they thought was bronchitis,” but standard treatments for the illness seemed to have no effect on his ability to heal.

Solomon used to be a healthy youngster who ‘liked’ football until developing a cough from vaping. Zorn claimed that he started attending to the gym with his father and soon began working out “every morning.”

But after starting to vape, something his parents claim they were unaware of, the boy got a severe cough that left him paralysed.
His lung function was so severely damaged by the gadgets that he could hardly walk more than a few steps without being out of breath. He had to stop since his breathing had gotten laboured after approximately a minute and a half, she said.

A pulmonologist examined the football player thoroughly and found the obvious evidence of vaping harm through tests for allergies and X-rays.

He told the doctor straight out that he did. Solomon’s father and she had “no idea” he was using the gadgets, Zorn continued, adding that he didn’t try to dispute it.

He had not shown any signs of vaping to us. Because neither his father nor I smoke, he couldn’t access any items in our home, she explained.
It wasn’t that he could get to it easily. He obtained it by way of his pals. She confessed that she had no idea what kind of vape he was smoking.

As her family watched her father’s condition deteriorate, Zorn described the sorrow they endured. She said: “The CAT scan showed that there was fluid in three places on his lungs and surrounding his heart.”

They had worries since it was damaging his heart, so he was scheduled to visit a cardiologist the following Monday.

Tragically, Solomon passed away on the Friday before his appointment with the cardiologist. He needed immediate medical attention, which put him on a ventilator, but he couldn’t be rescued, and the next day he passed away.

Solomon was expected to do all of these things, including play football all the way through high school. He occasionally brought up the military. He talked about the positions he desired,’ Zorn remarked.

Even the idea of his having a family in the future was made fun of. None of those things will take place right now. We can recall things. We currently just have that.
Vapes have been under increasing criticism in recent years for their potential negative effects on health after first being promoted to the general public as a way to combat cigarette addiction.

People believe we’re exaggerating or believe “Oh, this can’t happen to my kid,” Zorn said, adding that the gadgets’ catastrophic effects on her stepson were the fault of the device’s designers. Yes, there is a very low mortality rate among children who vape, but rather than declining, hospitalisation and illness rates among children are rising.

The vapes contain a variety of metals. They contain high levels of nicotine, which damages the lungs and transforms them into what are known as “popcorn lungs.”

Her concerns about “popcorn lung” were sparked by experts’ statements that up to 95% of people who get the ailment will pass away within five years.

Popcorn lung, also known as bronchiolitis obliterans, is a serious lung condition that develops after exposure to hazardous substances or after contracting an infection of some kind.

Whether it’s vaping, e-cigarettes, or combustible cigarettes, according to a clinic at Johns Hopkins University, DailyMail.com. They all contain harmful compounds that take advantage of nicotine’s addictive qualities.

It’s common knowledge that vaping or using e-cigarettes as a nicotine delivery method is less harmful. But it also has a unique set of possible health issues.
The issue with many of the more recent devices is that they not only contain nicotine but also other products that, when aerosolized, can have serious negative effects on one’s health.
